WORKCOVER· ADAPT MOVEMENT · GERALDTON, WA
Looking for a WorkCover provider in Geraldton who can manage the whole picture?
We have physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and psychology under one roof — with a gym, a shared understanding of the WorkCover WA system, and a clinical team that keeps you in the loop.

WHAT WE OFFER
A full multidisciplinary team. One location.
Coordinating care across multiple providers is one of the biggest frustrations in work injury rehab. At Adapt Movement, we can manage most of that in-house. Our WorkCover services include:
Physiotherapy
assessment, manual therapy, exercise prescription, functional capacity evaluation
Exercise Physiology
gym-based rehabilitation, conditioning, return-to-work focused programming
Psychology
pain psychology, adjustment to injury, mental health support where indicated
Clinicians communicate directly with each other. Treatment plans are built around a shared goal: getting your client back to work safely, and where possible, back to full duties.
HOW WE APPROACH IT
We use a biopsychosocial model.
Work injury recovery isn't purely physical. Sleep, stress, fear of re-injury, job satisfaction, and the meaning someone attaches to their work all affect how quickly they recover.
We screen for psychosocial risk factors early, using tools like the Örebro Musculoskeletal Pain Questionnaire and STarT Back, so we can identify cases at risk of delayed recovery and address those factors as part of the treatment plan, not as an afterthought.
Our clinicians also consider the specific physical and psychological demands of your client's job. We don't just treat the injury and send someone back. We make sure they're ready for the role they're returning to.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US
We communicate. Consistently.
One of the most common frustrations referrers have with allied health providers is chasing updates. We try to take that problem off your plate. Here's what you can expect:
O1.
Initial report
A Treatment Management Plan and initial report sent to all relevant parties after the first appointment.
O2.
Progress reports
Provided ahead of GP reviews and at other relevant intervals, so decision-makers have current information when they need it.
O3.
Direct contact
You can call or email your client's treating clinician directly. We'll respond promptly.
O4.
Outcome measure tracking
We use validated tools throughout treatment, including screening questionnaires, functional measures (Oswestry, QuickDASH, KOOS), pain assessment (Brief Pain Inventory), and physical capacity testing (strength, mobility, lifting, pushing, pulling, functional tasks). Progress is tracked, documented, and shared.
PAIN EXPERTISE
We understand persistent pain. Not just acute injury.
Some work injury cases are straightforward. Others involve pain that has become complex, where recovery is slower, the picture is murkier, and the usual approaches aren't getting results.
Samuel Bulten - Exercise Physiologist / Masters in Pain Management - has completed a Masters in Pain Management. That means a deeper understanding of why some injuries don't follow a simple recovery curve, and what to do about it.
For cases involving persistent pain, we take a more detailed approach to assessment and treatment — one that accounts for the central and psychosocial factors that are often driving the picture.

FACILITIES
An onsite gym. Available around treatment sessions.
We have a fully equipped gym onsite at our Geraldton clinic. Gym-based rehabilitation is available as part of the treatment plan for eligible clients, giving them a structured and supervised environment to rebuild capacity, without the wait for a separate facility.
