Group Rehab Classes

If you’ve been meaning to get back into exercise but haven’t been able to stick with it, usually because the gym doesn’t feel right, doing it at home hasn’t worked, or you’re not sure what you should be doing, these small group rehab classes give you a structured way to start. You’ll have your own program based on your injury or goals, and a physio or exercise physiologist there to guide things so you’re not guessing or second guessing as you go.

What’s this actually is

These are small group sessions, but everyone is working on something slightly different.

You’re not following along with a set routine.

You’re working through a program that’s been set up for you.

There’s always someone there to guide things, adjust where needed, and answer questions as you go.

It sits somewhere in between doing it on your own and coming in for one on one sessions.

What you get out of this

People tend to find that:

  • it’s easier to stay consistent when there’s a set time each week

  • they’re more confident doing the exercises properly

  • they stop second guessing whether they’re doing the right thing

  • pain feels more manageable when they have a plan

  • they can keep progressing without needing ongoing one on one sessions

First step

Before joining a class, you’ll need an initial session.

Most people leave that session with a clearer idea of what to do next.

On your first session we will:

1. Go through what’s been happening

2. Look at what you’ve already tried

3. Work out what’s likely to help

4. Set up your starting program

Get a clearer idea of what to do next.
